Lightning blade has a noticeably higher base AR since you can use YorshkaвЂ™s chime (best soellbuff of any catalyst) to cast it. ItвЂ™s a matter of choice, both buffs have their own strengths and weaknesses This build would be quite stat-demanding, so I wouldn't go for it unless you're at SL 90 or higher (and even at SL 90 you'd be stat-starved). Since it would be a dark build, you'd already have the faith/int to cast either magic weapon or lightning blade. One with a dark infusion, and another that is heavy/raw/etc that you buff. You could go with a situational build - something fast like a broadsword with the buff, then swap to the great club when your buff runs out.ДЄlternatively, you could go with a dark build, and have two versions of the great club. You'll either (a) want another reason for the int/faith investments, or (b) go with a faster weapon for buffs. With the club, you'd probably be better taking those points you would put into int or faith, and instead investing them into strength, vigor, or endurance. Quite honestly, the Great Club is about the last weapon you'd want to bother buffing, since the cost of those levels in faith/int is going to be high without a huge return. Since the buff adds a flat amount of damage, the more swings, the more you benefit from the buff. I know it's not really what you asked, but buffs really do well on fast weapons.
